RCS introduces a Holder-less badge

The Holder-less badge, as it’s names implies, does not require a plastic holder

Registration Control Systems (RCS), a nationwide trade show registration and lead retrieval company, today announces the new RCS holder-less badge for trade shows and conferences.

The Holder-less badge, as it’s names implies, does not require a plastic holder to attach a badge to a show participant, it uses a small clip or lanyard that attaches directly to a paper badge. Here’s how it works, the RCS paper badge printers produce a larger badge footprint, providing ample room for a color-coded identification panel at the bottom of the badge. In the past only plastic badge holders have been used to identify exhibitors and attendees, press and speaker etc. Now with additional badge real estate and the ability to print color on the paper badge stock we can identify exhibitors from attendees, on the badge instead of the holder.

“We sometimes distribute over 200,000 badge holders in a month”, says Rick Bradd, VP of RCS, Ventura Operations, “that’s 200,000 badge holders that get used once then thrown away.” That reality combined with a new mindset to help reduce waste got us looking at options, that’s when RCS came up with the Holder-less badge.

“Many of our clients are jumping at this opportunity to stop using thousands of oil based badge holders and replace them with a larger badge made of recycled paper”, says Dan Zumtobel with RCS. “This is a good way to save our clients money and provide them with a better product while eliminating thousands of badge holders per show”.
